GBS Core Consulting - Required Skills Required skills: Strong DB2 knowledge & experience -- Create/update/delete database objects -- tables, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, etc.(Physical DBA creates/drops/updates instances, databases, tablespaces, DB & DBM CFG parms) Run & interpret DB2 explains and based upon results restructure SQL, add index(es). Determine the resource intensive SQL. Setting and enforcing standards for creation of database objects Run & interpret DB2 snapshot Familiarity w/ DB2 SQL replication. Familiarity w/ Cloudscape. Proficiency w/ KornShell scripting Run RUNSTATS Determine when table/index REORG is needed & coordinate the runs of those REORGs with physical DBA. Some proficiency in performing problem determination. Provide for security & integrity of data in DBs. Must have DB2 replication proficiency. Linux/AIX.
